Rabbi Yosef Laster

Rabbi Yosef Laster  grew up in Monsey, NY, where he attended Yeshiva Degel Hatorah for elementary school. He attended Yeshiva Meon Hatorah for High School run by Rabbi Yisroel Meir Eisenberg.  He then joined Rabbi Don Blumbergs Yeshiva - Yeshiva Ohel Yaakov of Monsey.

After being part of Ohel Yaakov for more than a year,

he married his wife Esther Manya Burr of

Ottawa/Philadelphia.  After their marriage they

moved to Lakewood where Rabbi Laster

learned in Kollel for close to four years

and where Mrs. Laster was a playgroup

Morah. Rabbi Laster made the commute from Lakewood to the Kollel daily before the Lasters moved to Cherry Hill approximately one year ago. 

Rabbi Laster began and gave a daily Oraysa Gemara Shiur to community members before Mincha at the Kollel and spearheaded several other initiatives at the Kollel before accepting a position as a Mechanech and Teacher at Politz Yeshiva  in Northeast Philadephia.
