Rabbi Goldstein grew in up Chicago, and studied in the
Telshe Yeshiva there for seven years, developing a strong
foundation of Torah knowledge, and connection with his
Rabbeim. From there he traveled to Israel and spent 18
months studying under the well-known Rabbi Shalom
Schechter in Yerushalyim, before returning to the US to
learn at BMG in Lakewood, NJ. A short time later, Rabbi
Goldstein met his wife, Sori Skaist from Monsey, who is the
step-granddaughter of Rabbi Rothman.
The young couple moved to Israel where Rabbi Goldstein
studied at a Kollel in Ezras Torah, Yerushalyim led by Rabbi
Chaim Dolney for 2 & 1/2 years. They then returned to the
US, where Yoni helped found a Kollel in Lawrence under the
leadership of Rabbi Elisha Horowitz, and where he studied
for the next five years.
Rabbi Goldstein’s extensive experience under the tutelage
of a broad range of rabbeim is a tremendous asset to the
Cherry Hill Community Kollel and its mission.
