rabbi meir beer

Rabbi Meir Beer and his wife Yocheved (nee Applegrad), both native Lakewooders, joined the Kollel more than 6 years ago. Rabbi Beer previously learned in Yeshiva Ohr Hameir of Peekskill, Yeshivas Yagdil Torah of Yerushalayim, and Beis Medrash Govoha of Lakewood, and is currently a full-time member of the Kollel.

Rabbi Beer’s connection to the Cherry Hill Kollel began when he was studying in Peekskill, also the alma mater of The Rosh Kollel Rabbi Klahr, together with 3 of Rabbi Klahr's brothers. While learning in Lakewood in 2018, Rabbi Beer heard from Rabbi Klahr's brother that the Kollel in Cherry Hill was looking to expand. He decided to join the Kollel, at first commuting daily from Lakewood, and later moving with his family to Cherry Hill.

Aside from the rigorous schedule of the Kollel, Rabbi Beer

currently is a Magid Shiur in the Cherry Hill Community's  popular morning Kollel, Kollel Ohr Shmuel, and was also a Halacha Rebbi in The Yeshiva Gedolah of Cherry Hill that has since relocated to Tannersville.

Mrs. Beer is the beloved 1st grade English teacher at Lahavas Yosef, the Kollel's new Elementary school.
